Privacy policy.

This policy explains what personal information Stokes Sounds collects when you use stokessounds.com, why, and what rights you have. Stokes Sounds is run by Ed Stokes, who is responsible for your information. You can contact me at stokessounds@gmail.com.
What I collect
- Contact and guest forms: your name, email address and anything you write in the message. The guest application also asks for your phone number, website and a short bio.
- Free downloads: your first name, email address and which DAW you use.
- Discovery calls and consultations: booked through Acuity Scheduling, which collects your name, email and the answers to the booking questions.
- Payments: mixing and mastering are paid through Stripe. I see your name, email and what you bought; I never see your full card details.
This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.
How I use it
- To reply to your message, arrange your call, or deliver the work you've booked (this is needed to provide the service you asked for).
- To send the free downloads you requested, plus occasional emails with mixing tips and news about the Academy (based on your consent; every email has an unsubscribe link).
- To keep basic business records, such as invoices (a legal requirement).
I don't sell your information, and I don't share it with anyone except the services below, which help me run the business.
Services I use
- Netlify: hosts this website and receives the forms you submit.
- Acuity Scheduling: call and consultation bookings.
- Stripe: payments.
- systeme.io: email list for free downloads and updates.
- Google Fonts: loads the fonts used on this site, which means your browser connects to Google's servers.

How long I keep it
Messages and applications are kept for as long as needed to deal with them. If you work with me, records are kept for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting. You stay on the email list until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to how it's used, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email stokessounds@gmail.com and I'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
